Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists the store manager in overseeing the entire operation of the retail unit.
  • Trains, coaches, and develops all direct reports within the retail unit.
  • Fosters an environment of outstanding customer service for both internal (associates, peers, other departments) and external customers (donors, shoppers, community partners).
  • Recommends hiring and evaluates associates on the team.
  • Supports the store manager in executing daily administrative and clerical tasks related to store operations.
  • Delivers exceptional customer service, including resolving customer issues.
  • Fulfills the roles of store personnel when necessary.
  • Models, monitors, and enforces adherence to company policies and standards.
Monitors sales transactions to ensure compliance with proper sales procedures.

  • Maintains the overall appearance of the store and premises in line with agency standards.
  • Assists in enforcing store safety and security protocols, ensuring ongoing compliance with safety measures. May serve as safety captain in certain locations.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Supervisory Role:
This position carries supervisory responsibilities for associates, including Team Leads.

Qualifications:
Required
Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with one to three years of prior management experience in retail or a similar service-oriented environment (e.g., military experience).
  • Basic mathematical and computer skills (ability to create and manipulate spreadsheets, understand computerized time and attendance systems, comprehend POS systems, etc.).
  • Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written, in a clear manner.
  • Outstanding customer service abilities.
  • Willingness to work flexible days and hours, adapting to the needs of a seven-day-a-week business.
  • Personal vehicle for transporting store receipts to the bank.
Preferred
Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or higher.
  • Proficiency in a language other than English.
