AIM World Services is seeking an experienced Aviation Deputy Fire Chief to lead our Aircraft Rescue and Structural Fire Fighter (ARFF & Structural) services team. This role is responsible for managing the team administratively, planning, organizing, and directing all aspects of fire protection programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fire operations, experience in leading teams, and excellent communication skills.
About the Role
This is a full-time position that requires a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Fire Chief, Deputy Fire Chief, or Assistant Fire Chief. The successful candidate will hold certifications such as Fire Officer IV, Fire Inspector II, Fire Instructor II, Hazardous Material Incident Commander, Airport Firefighter, and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
The Aviation Deputy Fire Chief will be responsible for managing and accounting for all assigned materials and equipment, ensuring compliance with training and certification requirements, planning for movement of materials, equipment, and personnel in support of operations, conducting daily inspections of personal protective gear, and ensuring safety procedures are followed.
Responsibilities
- Manage/support the ARFF & Structural services team administratively to support services in Fire Operations.
- Lead ARFF & Structural services to minimize loss of life and property in the event of fire.
- Control and extinguish fires using various equipment.
- Plan, organize, and direct all aspects of fire protection programs.
- Identify and recommend future planning and execution requirements.
- Manage and account for all assigned materials and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with training and certification requirements.
- Plan for movement of materials, equipment, and personnel in support of operations.
- Conduct daily inspections of personal protective gear.
- Ensure safety procedures are followed.
- Plan and conduct emergency response exercises.
- Maintain proficiencies, licenses, and certifications.
- Anticipate and plan for shortfalls in materials and equipment.
Requirements
- Standard issue civilian driver's license.
- Valid US Passport.
- Must have a Secret Security Clearance or be eligible.
