The Role

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is an integral member of the Health & Wellness Team, dedicated to delivering exceptional care to our residents under the guidance of registered nurses and healthcare professionals.

Core Responsibilities ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assisting residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.Administering medications to residents as prescribed.Repositioning residents in bed and facilitating their mobility throughout the community.Providing toileting assistance and managing incontinence care.Measuring vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, and pulse.Monitoring and reporting on residents' health status, promptly escalating any concerns.Documenting daily reports for the Nurse or designated charge person at the conclusion of each shift.Offering emotional support and serving as a comforting presence for residents and their families.Identifying and reporting any abnormal changes in residents' health to a supervisor.Conducting nursing assessments, including monitoring vital signs and evaluating health status to address resident needs effectively.Providing wound care and executing other nursing interventions as directed by the registered nurse or healthcare provider, adhering to state regulations and established protocols.Responsibilities encompass customer service, safety, resident care, and effective communication.QualificationsPOSITION REQUIREMENTS
Must be at least 18 years of age.Successful completion of State and Company criminal background/drug screenings.Exhibits strong time management skills.High school diploma or equivalent required.Possession of a valid, unrestricted nursing license in the state.Current CPR certification is necessary.Compliance with CEU requirements.Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.Capable of making independent decisions when necessary.Ability to interpret and implement written or verbal policies, procedures, and instructions.Experience in staff supervision.Proficient in assessment and resident care skills.Knowledge of medication management principles and practices.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Community Overview
