Radiation Oncologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiation Oncologist to join our team at Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola. As a key member of our Oncology team, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with cancer, recommending and participating in efforts to improve cost-effectiveness and quality of care, and accepting patient referrals from other physicians.

• Evaluate and treat patients with cancer using appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills.
• Recommend and participate in efforts to improve cost-effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.
• Accept patient referrals from other physicians and act as admitting, attending, and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses.
• Participate in academic programs, such as medical education and research, as requested.
• Provide appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements and appeal all denials in a timely manner.
• Participate in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on-call schedules.

• Licensed Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Florida Board of Medicine obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Board eligibility/certification in medical specialty required.
• Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
