Job Summary

This role is responsible for ensuring the security and safety of Home Depot associates and visitors at the Austin Technology Center. The Security Officer will monitor the facility, investigate incidents, and provide assistance as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facility Monitoring: Patrol the ATC complex to identify and address potential security risks.
  • Incident Reporting: Document and report incidents, including interviewing witnesses and victims as necessary.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to emergency situations, such as fires or medical emergencies, in a timely and effective manner.
  • Security Inspections: Conduct regular security inspections to identify and address potential vulnerabilities.
  • Control Room Operations: Operate the security control room to monitor and respond to security incidents.
  • Access Control: Monitor and control access to the facility, including screening and escorting associates and visitors.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 0-6 months of experience in a security or related role preferred.
  • Certifications: None required.
  • Skills: Ability to read and write, interpersonal skills, logical skills, and ability to inspect property.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Typically located in a comfortable indoor area with regular exposure to mild physical discomfort.
  • Physical Demands: Requires intermittent periods of continuous physical exertion, including walking, standing, and lifting.
