At WSAV, we are seeking a talented Visual Journalist to join our Local Content Team. This role is an integral part of our commitment to bringing our viewers compelling and unique stories.

You will work closely with our Local Content Executive Producer to generate content ideas and shoot/edit both editorial and advertorial content. This position is the main photojournalist for our daily 30-minute pre-recorded lifestyle show called The Bridge.

This is a unique position where you will have the opportunity to shoot at various locations, from 4-star restaurants to Coast Guard boats, and tell the stories of our community.

We are looking for someone with an amazing visual style, excellent communication skills, and the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize assignments.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma; some college coursework or vocational training preferred
  • Minimum two years experience operating video recording equipment
  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Flexibility to work any shift
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Proficiency with video recording equipment
