About the Role

A leading accounting firm, GPAC, is seeking a highly skilled Tax Associate to join their team. This esteemed organization offers clients valuable expertise in tax and financial services.

Responsibilities
  • Organizing and analyzing clients' financial information to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Establishing and updating client records to maintain a high level of service.
  • Preparing and filing tax returns on behalf of clients, both electronically and on paper.
  • Providing expert advice on tax liabilities and other tax-related matters to clients.
  • Staying up-to-date on IRS and state and local tax rules and regulations to ensure full compliance.
  • Assisting with audits by gathering and preparing financial information.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • CPA certification or eligibility.
  • 1+ years of experience in public accounting, preferably.
  • Strong analytical skills to review financial information.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to explain complex information to clients.
  • Knowledge of IRS rules and regulations, as well as state and local tax laws.
  • Familiarity with tax preparation and accounting software, including electronic tax filing systems.
  • Multitasking skills to handle multiple clients' tax preparations simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records.
  • Excellent time management skills to complete work within strict deadlines.
