**Job Summary**
The Cantex Continuing Care Network is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Housekeeping Assistant to join our team at Ashford Gardens. As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our patients and staff.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Clean and sanitize patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas on a daily basis, adhering to Facility protocols.
- Operate floor-care equipment, including mops, sweepers, and vacuum cleaners, to maintain a clean and tidy environment.
- Empties trash containers, replaces liners as necessary, and disposes of trash in designated receptacles.
- Vacuums carpets as directed by the Supervisor.
- Reports repair needs to the Supervisor or maintenance department as required.
- Requests necessary supplies and equipment from the Supervisor.
- Identifies and corrects safety hazards and adheres to safety rules.
- Reviews and understands Cantex Continuing Care Network Policy and Procedures for Abuse Prevention and enforces them as necessary.
- Attends weekly in-services, understands, and complies with Patient Care Management Systems.
- Ensures patient/resident safety at all times.
**Requirements:**
- Experience in institutional housekeeping or maintenance is preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
