Position Title: Health Services Administrator II
Reporting To: Regional Coordinator III
Supervision: Non-clinical administrative management of Facility Staff Operations, PrimeCare Medical employees, and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities1. Administrative Oversight: Act as the designated health authority responsible for the administrative management of the healthcare delivery system at the facility.
2. Program Management: Oversee and assess the facility's medical program, ensuring compliance with PCM policies and procedures.
3. Operational Management: Ensure adherence to established standards (NCCHC and/or ACA) while managing unit operations in line with PCM policies.
4. Liaison Role: Serve as the primary contact between PCM and facility administration.
5. Contract Services Monitoring: Implement and oversee all contracted services.
Administrative Duties6. Staff Supervision: Provide administrative oversight to physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff. Assign tasks and manage the nursing schedule, assisting in recruitment efforts.
7. Disciplinary Actions: Counsel and manage employee conduct in accordance with PCM's Corrective Discipline Policy, ensuring all actions are approved by Human Resources.
8. Reporting: Regularly report to and meet with the Regional Coordinator, preparing necessary reports as required.
9. Professional Conduct: Maintain a professional demeanor and foster positive relationships with facility staff, unit staff, contracted providers, and Corporate staff.
Compliance and Quality Assurance10. Policy Adherence: Ensure compliance with PCM standards and corporate policies, consulting with appropriate corporate staff as needed.
11. Staff Credentialing: Verify valid licensure, insurance coverage, CPR certification, and TB testing for all medically licensed personnel.
12. Quality Improvement: Conduct audits of medical records and implement quality improvement plans based on findings.
Operational Efficiency13. Financial Oversight: Monitor financial responsibilities related to inmate/patient expenses and ensure accurate billing processes.
14. Safety and Compliance: Evaluate physical safety requirements and ensure a secure working environment for all staff and patients.
15. Continuous Improvement: Recommend and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
QualificationsA. Education: Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) preferred, or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
B. Experience: Proven experience in a healthcare delivery system.
C. Skills: Strong decision-making and effective communication abilities.
D. Leadership: Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
