MTI Distributing, Inc., a leading supplier of products and services to the green industries, is seeking a skilled Turf Equipment Technician to join our team in Berkeley, Missouri. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service and support to our customers.
The successful candidate will possess outstanding mechanical skills, with a strong ability to diagnose and repair complex equipment. You will be working with a variety of turf equipment, including gas and diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and maintain turf equipment to manufacturer specifications.
- Install necessary parts, check fluid levels, and test equipment to ensure proper operation.
- Operate and test equipment to ensure quality standards are met.
- Safely and effectively use all service and repair tools, including hoists, welders, test equipment, pressure washers, compressors, and power tools.
- Safely operate a forklift.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Collaborate with our team to meet customer needs and provide exceptional service.
Requirements:
- Technical degree (2-year) or equivalent experience required.
- Demonstrated experience and effectiveness in diagnosing problems with gas and diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and diagnostic software.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
