Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver psychotherapy and counseling services to individuals facing psychiatric and substance use disorders, utilizing group, individual, and family therapy modalities.
  • Maintain precise and timely documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans.
  • Engage in effective communication with clients, families, and external referral sources, adhering to HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 regulations. Document all interactions thoroughly.
  • Actively participate in treatment planning, collaborating with patients to set and achieve therapeutic goals, and adjusting plans as necessary.
  • Work closely with an interdisciplinary team, including physicians and nursing staff, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Coordinate with the utilization review department regarding patient treatment and length of stay.
  • Develop comprehensive discharge plans that address clients' aftercare needs, ensuring timely provision of necessary documentation to patients and their families.

Qualifications:

Education and Licensure:

  • A Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field, along with relevant state licensure.
  • Current, unencumbered state licensure as per local regulations.
  • Certification in CPR and CPI within 30 days of employment, prior to patient interaction.

Experience:

  • Previous experience working with individuals facing psychiatric disorders and substance dependency.
