Job Description

At Inter-Con Security Systems, Inc., we are committed to providing customized security solutions for our clients. As an Armed Security Officer, you will be part of a highly trained security team that supports critical facilities and infrastructure, public venues that require an enhanced presence, and personal protective services.

You will be trained by our team of highly qualified firearms instructors in safe weapons handling and marksmanship. As an Armed Security Officer, you are an integral part of the broad spectrum of specialized security services Inter-Con provides its clients every day.

Responsibilities
  • Provide a general security presence and visible deterrent to crime and rule infractions.
  • Detect suspicious activities and report all incidents, accidents, or medical emergencies to the appropriate person.
  • Monitor access control, intrusion detection, fire alarm, and video surveillance systems.
  • Patrol facility properties with random walking patrols or vehicle and bike patrols, where available.
  • Perform safety and equipment inspections and provide customer service and problem-solving.
  • Respond to emergencies, such as medical and bomb threats, and to alarms, such as fire and intrusion.
  • Report unsafe acts and environmental conditions and enforce company and client policies, rules, and regulations.
  • Escort staff and visitors on the client's property and provide other services as specified by the Post Orders.
  • Generate incident reports as needed in a clear and concise manner and complete Daily Activity logs in clear and concise language.
Requirements
  • Must possess Oregon State weapons permit and state armed guard certification issued by DPSST.
  • Possess a valid U.S. Driver's License.
  • Be a minimum of 21 years of age or older.
  • Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Have an honorable discharge if a veteran of the US Armed Forces.
  • Fluent in both the written and spoken English language.
  • Have at least two years security experience.
  • Successfully pass background screen.
