Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' backgrounds, needs, and goals.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based counseling techniques and modalities.
  • Facilitate counseling sessions with individuals, couples, families, or groups to address various mental health concerns.
  • Provide guidance, support, and psychoeducation to clients, helping them develop coping strategies and improve their overall well-being.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic and integrated care for clients.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records, adhering to all relevant legal and ethical guidelines.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in behavioral health counseling.

Qualifications:

  • A valid and active license as a Behavioral Health Counselor (LCSW, LCSW-R, or LMHC) in New York State.
  • Ability to pass a full background check.
  • A Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field eligible for insurance credentialing from an accredited institution.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing individual, couples, and/or group counseling in a behavioral health setting.
  • Proficiency in evidence-based counseling approaches, such as CBT, DBT, ACT, EMDR, PC, Play Therapy, or Mindfulness-based interventions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish therapeutic alliances with diverse clients.
  • Strong assessment and diagnostic skills, with the ability to develop effective treatment plans.
  • Adherence to ethical guidelines and a strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
