Job Summary:

Snavely Forest Products Inc is seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our team in Denver, CO. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for handling, moving, and storing various materials within our warehouse and yard facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify the accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming and outgoing deliveries
  • Label and scan products, and put them away accordingly
  • Identify, pull, and wrap the correct products per customer orders
  • Handle returns by completing documentation and other required communication
  • Conduct regular maintenance and logs on material handling equipment
  • Cycle counting and identifying any inventory issues
  • Communicate issues related to missing and/or damaged material, as well as material that may have been pulled or received incorrectly
  • Keep work areas neat and tidy

Requirements:

  • Follow all policies and procedures in the yard, including sales, inventory, and safety
  • Participate in safety training
  • Properly use and maintain equipment
  • Lead by example, with first-hand knowledge of area of expertise
  • Work well in a group setting
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously

Qualifications:

  • Forklift certification
  • Knowledge of operating other warehouse machinery
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Critical thinking skills to quickly solve issues and/or problems
  • Proficiency in prioritizing and meeting multiple deadlines

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift at least 50 pounds as needed throughout the day

Climb, kneel, reach, or bend throughout the day

Must wear safety gear, such as goggles and gloves, while performing work

Ability to operate all equipment on site as necessary

Able to withstand environmental temperatures
