Overview

We are seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide high-quality virtual speech and language services to school-aged children. The successful candidate will join our innovative teletherapy team in Washington, working with students who require support with communication challenges.

 

Compensation

This is an independent contractor position offering guaranteed weekly hours and an hourly rate of $45-$55, consistent across direct and indirect hours, planning periods, and more.

 

Job Description

As a key member of our team, you will work closely with educators, parents, and other professionals to create individualized education plans (IEPs) and deliver customized therapy sessions tailored to each student's specific needs. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assessment and diagnosis: Identify speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students using comprehensive assessments.
  • Individualized Education Programs (IEPs): Develop and implement IEPs that address the unique communication needs of students with speech and language impairments.
  • Therapy Services: Provide direct therapy to students individually or in small groups, addressing specific speech and language goals.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to ensure seamless support for students' communication needs.
  • Progress Monitoring: Regularly monitor and document students' progress toward meeting therapy goals, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Screenings and Evaluations: Conduct screenings to identify students requiring speech and language evaluations, ensuring timely interventions.
  • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to maintain certification and licensure requirements, staying informed about current practices and research in speech-language pathology.

 

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A Master's or Doctorate degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current Washington Teaching Certification required in some districts
  • Washington SLP license required
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working with students with communication disorders
  • Experience providing virtual therapy services is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fast and reliable computer and internet connection
