Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Therapist to join our multi-disciplinary team. This is an opportunity to work with individuals with mental health and substance use disorders, providing assessment, individual and family therapy, and treatment planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop therapeutic relationships with clients, meeting with them as scheduled to aid in the development of a therapeutic relationship.
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments, formulating a provisional diagnostic assessment based on information presented, and identifying the need for risk assessments, including substance use assessments.
  • Complete concurrent documentation within 24 hours.
  • Provide assessment services, individual and family therapy, and treatment planning for individuals with substance use issues.
  • Develop, write, implement, evaluate, and revise overall treatment goals and objectives based on ongoing assessments and input from the individual.
  • Use empirically based modalities to engage and manage mental health or substance abuse diagnoses.
  • Monitor client progress through urine drug screens and inform treatment.
  • Complete progress notes within current agency guidelines.
  • Respond to supervisory requests for urgent care situations and coverage for vacant caseloads, including telephones and face-to-face intervention.
  • Keep administrative supervisors informed of potential issues impacting the program or organization.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, Mental Health, or a related field.
  • One year of experience treating individuals with mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Effective communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office products, and coordination, organization, and planning skills.
