Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Superintendent, Physical Plant, the Maintenance Assistant - PTT will be responsible for various maintenance tasks, including repairs, painting, facility construction, equipment moving, and grounds work. This role is ideal for individuals with a background in maintenance or repair and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Aid in general building/facilities maintenance.
  2. Moving Furniture - Move furniture/equipment within facilities, as well as to and from storage areas, and keep records of items being moved.
  3. (Seasonal) Care and Upkeep of Lawns by mowing, trimming, raking, fertilizing, spraying, and watering lawns.
  4. Climbs ladders to perform tasks such as changing light bulbs, and gaining access to equipment and roofs.
  5. Keeps grounds clean from litter and trash.
  6. Pick up or deliver supplies and deliveries throughout the campus as needed.
  7. Responds to repair and maintenance requests in a timely fashion.
  8. Ensures the proper maintenance of tools and equipment by cleaning and checking tools and equipment after use.
Requirements:
  1. At least sixteen (16) years of age or older.
  2. Valid Driver's License.
  3. Ability to Qualify for Auto Insurance Coverage.
  4. Minimum of one (1) year of work experience in maintenance or repair.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. High school graduate or GED with vocational training or on-the-job training; or
  2. AAS degree in a related technical area.
Compensation:

$14.35 per hour.
