Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Host Person to join our team at Encore Boston Harbor. As a Host Person, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Service: Greet all guests, show them to their tables, and accommodate their needs and requests.
- Ambassador: Act as an ambassador for the restaurant, the resort, and the amenities of the resort, and be able to speak in detail about the food and beverage selections, event spaces, and special arrangements.
- Communication: Provide information on all aspects of available services and facilities for guests, and communicate with co-workers and supervisor to ensure quality service.
- Menu Management: Oversee quality check and rotation of menus.
- Special Requests: Assist guests with special requests and connect them with other departments that can fulfill their needs.
- Teamwork: Work with safety as a priority, and follow department and company safety standards.
- Professional Development: Maintain relevant knowledge of industry through continuing education and training.
Requirements:
- Age and Gaming Requirements: 18 years of age or above, and will be required to obtain and maintain registration or a license issued by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission.
- Education and Experience: High school degree or equivalent preferred, and minimum 1 year of hosting experience preferred.
- Skills: Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office a plus, outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills, and excellent attention to detail.
- Language Skills: Conversational English required, second language a plus.
Work Environment:
The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with moderate to loud noise levels. The Host Person must be able to interact with internal and external guests in a professional manner and work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
