Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team for an immediate travel opening in Englewood, FL.

About the Job

This assignment requires a Speech-Language Pathologist with 1 year of experience; however, exceptional candidates with an appropriate background may be considered for a position with 6 months of experience.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluation and Treatment Planning

You will be responsible for assisting patients with speech, voice, or swallowing impairments and evaluating and developing a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting.

Treatment and Therapy

Create treatment and therapy plans to suit the individualized needs of a diverse population of patients. Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders. Educate patients and family members about speech disorders and causes, including disabilities and traumatic events.

Documentation and Reporting

Report progress and current status to appropriate parties, which may include family members, teachers, or medical professionals. Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.

Requirements

Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply. Must have BLS and ASHA-SLP National Certification with state-specific licensing.

Speech-Language Pathologists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. SLPs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
