About the Role:
Exact Sciences is seeking a highly skilled Histotechnologist I to join our team in Redwood City, CA. As a Histotechnologist I, you will play a critical role in the preparation and processing of histology specimens for research and development sponsored studies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform skilled and accurate cutting on patient specimens under supervision.
- Interact with sending sites and ordering physicians to ensure timely and accurate specimen processing.
- Perform quality control and specimen-related checks to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laboratory requirements.
- Assist in the identification of opportunities for process improvements for Exact Sciences' histopathology.
- Provide guidance and training to research and development (R&D) staff relating to histopathology.
- Contribute to corporate strategy for inspection preparation or additional regulatory approval relating to Exact Sciences histopathology.
Requirements:
- Associate Degree in Biological Sciences or Life Sciences field.
- 2+ years of experience in a histology laboratory with competency in microtomy/cutting, embedding, and routine staining.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences or Life Sciences field.
- ASCP Board of Certification, to include Histotechnician (HT) American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), or Histotechnologist (HTL) ASCP.

Exact Sciences is proud to offer a competitive salary range of $87,000.00 to $131,000.00 per year, plus bonus eligibility and company stock.
