LVN - Outpatient - Level II - Fontana Med Center - Pediatrics - Regular Clinic - Full Time

As a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in our Outpatient Clinic, you will provide high-quality patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse or physician/advanced practice provider. You will utilize your observational skills to identify nursing interventions and assist medical staff in ensuring optimal care within established policies, procedures, and standards.
Key Responsibilities- Provide therapeutic patient care in accordance with established protocols and within the scope of practice.
- Transcribe physician/advanced practice provider orders and administer medications as directed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Assist with and contribute to the development of a nursing care plan, ensuring patient-centered care.
- Perform various patient care functions, including vital sign measurements, wound care, and specimen collection.
- Assist with examinations and treatments, providing support and restraint as needed.
- Document patient care in Health Connect, adhering to policy, procedures, and protocols.
- Participate in staff meetings and in-service programs to stay current on best practices and organizational initiatives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned, including orientation of new employees.
- Minimum 12 months of LVN direct patient care experience within one year.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Vocational Nurse License (California).
