Job Summary:
The Nurse Practitioner provides high-quality patient care and services to ensure the comfort and well-being of patients. The Nurse Practitioner prepares equipment and assists physicians during examinations and treatments. The Nurse Practitioner administers prescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, and monitors patient vital signs. The Nurse Practitioner observes and maintains records on patient care, condition, reaction, and progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care
- Conduct patient assessments and develop treatment plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to physicians
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current Texas State RN License
- CPR (American Heart Association)
- ACLS (American Heart Association) within 6 months of hire/transfer date
- PALS (American Heart Association) within 18 months of hire/transfer date
- NIHSS required within 90 days of hire/transfer date

The Nurse Practitioner will work in a fast-paced healthcare environment, providing patient care and services to a diverse population. The Nurse Practitioner will be part of a collaborative healthcare team, working closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
