Metrology Engineer

Calibration Laboratory, LLC is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional to serve as a Metrology Engineer. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and reliability of our calibration services.

• Maintain and calibrate standards to ensure accuracy and reliability
• Develop and review statistical uncertainty budgets to ensure compliance with industry standards
• Develop and review calibration datasheets and accuracy profiles in our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
• Develop and review calibration procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards
• Assist in the technical curriculum of training courses to ensure staff members have the necessary skills and knowledge
• Perform quality checks on production calibrations to ensure technical compliance
• Research and recommend external specifications and methods to ensure compliance with industry standards
• Research new standards and equipment to make value-added recommendations

• College-level mathematics and science skills required
• Exhibition of excellent math skills and problem-solving skills
• Computer programming experience preferred
• Valid driver's license required
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Must pass entrance exam
• Timely completion of all assigned training
• Possess and maintain a high level of detail work ethic
• Demonstration of applied sciences
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted

• Associates/Bachelors degree in technical field preferred
• Military service field highly regarded

• Ability to communicate orally with customers, vendors, management, and coworkers is crucial
• The ability to remain in a stationary position roughly 50% of the time, as well as the ability to move about the laboratory spaces as required
