About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Oakmont Senior Living. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our senior living community's physical plant, exterior, and interior common areas, as well as individual resident units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC repairs and replacements.
  • Assist with apartment turnovers, including painting, carpet cleaning, and pressure washing.
  • Maintain the community's grounds, including the pool and spa (if applicable).
  • Ensure a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, adhering to established safety standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and other departments to promote a positive and supportive work environment.
Requirements
  • At least 6 months of experience in the building industry, maintenance, or housekeeping, with a focus on electrical, plumbing, and structural matters.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Excellent customer service skills and a strong desire to work with the elderly.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
  • Ability to pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
