Mechanical Engineer Trainee

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer Trainee to join our team at our Union Bridge plant in Maryland. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your skills and knowledge in a heavy manufacturing environment and contribute to our company's success.

• Support operations in achieving production goals by partnering with experienced engineers and managers in different departments and locations.
• Participate in production and maintenance meetings to ensure smooth operations.
• Learn basic supervisory skills by working side-by-side with supervisors and completing assigned project work in your area of expertise.
• Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve issues.
• Participate in various training programs to enhance your skills and knowledge.
• Contribute to our Continuous Improvement Program by suggesting changes in routines, personnel, equipment, and processes.
• Follow plant and MSHA Safety Policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment, and maintain an awareness of plant environmental standards.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong interest in process improvement and a highly organized, efficient, and process-oriented mindset.
• Commitment and engagement through a strong work ethic, initiative, and utilization of abilities.
• Ability and willingness to dive in and help solve problems in the field.
• Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to multitask and tackle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment with 24-hour operations.
