Job Summary:

The Animal Rescue League of Iowa, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join our team. As a Staff Veterinarian, you will be responsible for performing life-saving surgeries and advanced procedures on animals in our shelter. You will work in a cutting-edge facility with a supportive team of professionals dedicated to providing the highest standards of veterinary care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform spay/neuter surgeries and other veterinary work on various species, primarily dogs and cats
  • Provide medical treatments for the general population
  • Support enforcement efforts in cases of neglect

Requirements:
  • Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
  • License to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Iowa
  • Experience practicing in a shelter, private practice, or equivalent
  • A high level of skill, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with community cats and TNR (preferred)
  • Experience doing dentals (preferred)
