Position Overview

Location Insight:

Adventist Health Sierra Vista has been a cornerstone of healthcare in the community since 1959, operating a 162-bed acute care facility. This includes a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and a designated trauma center, providing essential services to the region.

Role Summary:

The Radiologic Technologist will execute x-ray procedures within the limits of their certification. This role involves applying ionizing radiation for diagnostic imaging at a technical level that does not necessitate constant oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

The individual will:

  • Conduct screening procedures for diagnostic purposes.
  • Communicate procedures to patients and address their inquiries.
  • Prepare and maintain imaging equipment as required.
  • Set up examination rooms for patient assessments.
  • Position patients accurately for imaging procedures.
  • Monitor patient safety throughout the imaging process.
  • Produce diagnostic images and document pertinent exam details.
  • Report critical findings to the supervising physician.
  • Verify imaging exams on the PACS system.
  • Maintain patient records in accordance with established protocols.
  • Perform additional job-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED: Preferred
  • Completion of an accredited X-ray Technician program: Required in CA

Licensure and Certifications:

  • Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist (LMRT) Certificate: Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required
  • Fluoroscopy license in the state of employment: Preferred
  • Venipuncture certification: Preferred

Organizational Standards:

All associates are expected to adhere to the Adventist Health Mission, Vision, and Values. Compliance with established behavioral standards, policies, and procedures is mandatory. Additionally, all associates must receive required vaccinations as a condition of employment, with medical and religious exemptions considered.


Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, totaling 40 hours per week.
