Adult Home Administrator

Mercy Haven is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Adult Home Administrator to join our team. As a vital member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Adult Home, providing exceptional care and support to our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide overall leadership and supervision of the Adult Home, ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Recruit, supervise, and train staff and volunteers to provide high-quality care and services.
- Serve as Case Manager, conducting assessments, developing personalized care plans, and monitoring resident progress.
- Act as Activities Director, organizing recreational, educational, and therapeutic activities to enhance residents' quality of life.
- Manage the resident intake process, ensuring thorough assessments and appropriate placements.
- Facilitate resident transfers and discharges, coordinating with healthcare providers and families as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation of resident transitions and provide support to ensure continuity of care.
- Build relationships with community organizations, agencies, and service providers to offer additional resources and services to residents.
- Plan and implement community-based programs that promote social interaction and support for residents' needs.
- Serve as the primary representative of the Adult Home to the broader community, ensuring a positive public image and fostering partnerships that benefit residents.
- Engage with families, community members, and other stakeholders, addressing concerns and encouraging feedback to improve services.
- Ensure the protection of resident rights, including privacy, dignity, and autonomy.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that safeguard residents from abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
- Act as an advocate for residents, ensuring they have access to resources and are empowered to make decisions about their care.
- Establish and maintain a transparent and accessible system for residents to present grievances, complaints, or recommendations about facility operations.
- Respond promptly to resident concerns, implementing solutions that reflect respect for their voice and preferences.
- Ensure staff and volunteers receive regular training in emergency procedures, including responding to medical emergencies, fires, and natural disasters.
- Complete all necessary trainings and in-services, with a minimum of 30 hours of training per year.
- Maintain Food Manager Course Certification.
- Perform all other relevant duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Associate's Degree in Human Services related field required.
- 3 years' experience working with individuals in the human services field.
- 3 years supervisory experience in the human services field.
- Physical Requirements: Sits, stands, stoops, squats, walks, and moves intermittently during work hours, may push or pull 10-15 pounds daily, may push or pull up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- A valid NYS Driver's License in good standing.
