About the Role

The Food Runner plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our fine dining restaurant. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating the timely and accurate delivery of dishes from the kitchen to the tables, providing exceptional guest service and maintaining a high level of professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Exemplify MCR's values by demonstrating excellent guest service and professionalism at all times.
  • Ensure that each dish is presented beautifully and adheres to our restaurant's plating and presentation standards.
  • Verify order details to ensure correct dishes are delivered to the right tables and notify the kitchen of any discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure dishes are delivered promptly while still hot.
  • Assist in setting up tables before service and resetting them after guests have finished their meals.
  • Interact with servers and other front-of-house staff to understand the status of each table.
  • Promptly deliver food from the kitchen to guests in a professional manner.
  • Comply with food safety and hygiene guidelines to ensure the safe and sanitary handling of food and tableware.
  • Assist food servers and bussers by clearing used dishes and refilling beverages.
  • Perform side-work and other opening or closing duties as required.
Requirements
  • Ability to obtain a Class III B gaming license.
  • Previous experience in a similar role in fine dining or upscale restaurants is preferred but not required.
  • Food service experience and customer service experience are preferred.
  • A valid WA State Food Health Card/Food Handlers Permit is required.
  • A valid WA State Class 12 Alcohol Permit is required.
