Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center in Montclair, NJ. As a key member of our respiratory therapy department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities- Administer prescribed therapies, including gas, positive pressure breathing, humidity, and aerosol therapy, to patients with respiratory conditions.
- Verifies physician orders and maintains effective communication with medical staff, nursing staff, and other team members.
- Reviews patient medical records for pertinent information and diagnoses.
- Maintains accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans and outcomes.
- Assists in the orientation of new employees and conducts quality control activities as needed.
- Associate Degree from an approved NBRC Program
- Current CPR (BLS) or ACLS certification from an accredited institution by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
- Licensed Respiratory Therapist in the State of New Jersey
- Effective oral and written communication skills to express ideas clearly
- Ability to work cooperatively with patients, family members, and multidisciplinary team members
- One to two years experience in all forms of Respiratory Therapy
The estimated salary for this position is $63,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, Ardent Health offers a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, comprehensive health benefits, and tuition assistance.
