Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Butler America Aerospace, LLC. is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for developing and executing trial plans, creating new products on our varied composites, textile, coating, foam, and additive manufacturing technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute trial plans to ensure the quality and efficiency of our manufacturing processes.
  • Create new products on our composites, textile, coating, foam, and additive manufacturing technologies.
  • Work directly on 3D composites processing equipment and provide hands-on support to manufacturing and process engineers.
  • Analyze test data of newly created products and raw materials to advance technical readiness and manufacturing readiness levels.
  • Document processing conditions, test results, and other critical-to-quality data to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Conduct material characterizations for FEA modeling to optimize product performance.
  • Research new composites materials and novel processes to stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Create work instructions and SOPs for our Quality System to ensure consistency and efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a relevant/related discipline.
  • Must be a technologist/engineer with mold design and making experience.
  • Must have process knowledge to cast parts with 2-part chemistries.
  • Working knowledge of composites, textiles, foam, coating, and other processing equipment.
  • Working knowledge of materials testing equipment.
  • Eagerness to learn and explore advanced 3D composites, textile processes, and other Additive Manufacturing processes.
  • Working knowledge of advance fiber placement systems is desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective team player with strong critical thinking skills.
