Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Intern to join our team at Walgreens. As a Pharmacy Intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced pharmacists and pharmacy team members to provide exceptional patient care and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists and other healthcare providers in delivering patient care and services, including patient counseling and other health services.
  • Learn from store and pharmacy team members, field leadership, team members, and customers/patients to develop strong relationships and provide excellent customer service.
  • Perform duties as assigned and supervised by the pharmacist in accordance with Walgreens standard operating procedures for entering, third-party processing, filling, and dispensing prescriptions.
  • Responsible for registering all related sales on assigned cash register, collecting and handling cash as required, and taking customers to the OTC aisle when possible to assist in locating products.
  • Assist with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring the Pharmacy Department is stocked with adequate supplies, clean, neat, and orderly in condition and appearance.
Requirements
  • Must be a current student enrolled in an accredited school of pharmacy program.
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Prefer to have prior work experience with Walgreens.
  • Prefer good math skills to fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications.
