Refrigeration Tech II Job Description

Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center is seeking a skilled Refrigeration Tech II to join our team. As a Refrigeration Tech II, you will play a critical role in ensuring the daily preventive maintenance, upkeep, and repair of refrigeration, air conditioning, and generator equipment and related systems at our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on refrigeration, air conditioning, and generator equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and repairs.
  • Inspect buildings daily for any problems in refrigeration units.
  • Replace temperature recording charts on all units weekly.
  • Check, maintain, and monitor emergency generator and other essential equipment.
  • Perform temperature alarm checks, repair, and respond to equipment and temperature alarms.
  • Prepare routine documentation and paperwork regarding building maintenance records or work orders.
  • Perform general building services related to office space.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum two years of experience in commercial air conditioning/refrigeration repair and electrical/mechanical background.
  • Valid Texas driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • EPA refrigeration certificate upon employment.
  • EPA Universal refrigeration rating within 90 days of employment.
