Role Summary
The Project Manager will be responsible for directing, coordinating, and exercising functional authority for the planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects. This role involves collaboration with the Principal and clients to address their needs effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducts and manages site investigations.
  • Assesses surface and subsurface conditions and provides actionable recommendations.
  • Plans and executes engineering programs, defining project philosophies, activities, milestones, and staffing needs.
  • Develops and maintains project schedules and budgets.
  • Monitors project milestones and adjusts schedules as necessary.
  • Controls project expenditures within budgetary constraints.
  • Identifies staffing requirements and coordinates with management.
  • Oversees the preparation and delivery of project deliverables, including design documents and proposals.
  • Assigns project personnel to specific tasks and oversees their work.
  • Reviews product designs for compliance with engineering standards and specifications.
  • Maintains communication with clients regarding project status and needs.
  • Provides regular updates to the project team and management.
  • Plans research schedules according to project timelines.
  • Offers expertise in research methodologies.
  • Trains research assistants and graduate students.
  • Conducts interim analyses of data for safety monitoring.
  • Develops research plans and outlines procedures.
  • Establishes design parameters in collaboration with the project design team and clients.
  • Fosters relationships with existing clients and seeks new business opportunities.
  • Prepares estimates for project time and expenses.
  • May require travel up to 10% of the time.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position includes supervisory duties.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 8-10 years of experience, including 5 years in project management.
  • Preferred: Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) certification.
  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification is required.
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation for site access.
  • Proficient in mathematical concepts and able to apply them in practical situations.
  • Familiarity with software such as AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, MS Word, Excel, and Adobe products.

Physical Demands
The role requires the ability to stand, walk, sit, and use hands for various tasks. The employee must be able to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds and possess good vision abilities.

Work Environment
The majority of work will be conducted in an office setting, with approximately 10% outdoors. Employees must be prepared to work in various weather conditions and may encounter uneven terrain.
