Position Overview

The role of the Industrial Engineer II involves overseeing engineering assignments, spearheading continuous enhancement projects, and rethinking existing methodologies. This position is pivotal in designing fixtures, managing project components, and collaborating with the production workforce to optimize operational efficiency and minimize expenses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design production workflows that enhance efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Develop and execute process enhancements aimed at reducing labor costs.
  • Conduct time and labor analyses to refine and elevate manufacturing practices.
  • Create and design fixtures and tooling necessary for production.
  • Plan layouts for product movement and workforce requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to project timelines by tracking progress, coordinating tasks, and monitoring financial savings.
  • Draft and formalize manufacturing protocols and specifications.
  • Manage project expenditures effectively.
  • Provide training or re-training in response to modified or enhanced processes.
  • Revise documentation and operational instructions as needed.
  • Support team objectives by undertaking related tasks beyond assigned duties.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in requirements analysis.
  • Experienced in project management.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledgeable in manufacturing methods and practices.
  • Expertise in process improvement techniques.
  • Strong technical comprehension.
  • Excellent documentation capabilities.
  • Familiarity with APQP documentation.
  • Proficient in CAD and CAD/CAM software.
  • Understanding of circuit design principles.
  • Experience with statistical process control methodologies.

Education and Experience

A Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering is required, along with 3 to 6 years of relevant experience.
