Job Title: Thoracic Surgeon

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Thoracic Surgeon to join our team at Dignity Physician Careers. As a Thoracic Surgeon, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating various medical conditions related to the thoracic cavity, including lung cancer, esophageal cancer, and other thoracic diseases.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and treat various medical conditions related to the thoracic cavity.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for patients.
  • Conduct thorough medical examinations and histories.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Document medical findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
  • Ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations.
  • Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
  • Provide consultative services to other healthcare providers.
  • Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
  • Review and analyze clinical outcomes for continuous improvement.
  • Implement changes to enhance patient care and safety.

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO degree.
  • Successful completion of ACGME-approved General Surgery Residency and Thoracic Surgery Fellowship (or an I-6 Tract equivalent).
  • Must have or be eligible for California State medical licensure.
  • Ability to achieve full and unrestricted hospital/surgical privileges at Dignity Health California hospitals.
  • A passion for providing excellent clinical care in a collaborative team-based setting.
  • Willing to abide by and promote the values of CommonSpirit Health.

Pay Range: $263.82 - $279.34 /hour
