We are currently seeking a skilled Litigation Support Specialist for a prominent client in the legal sector.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe selected candidate will be an integral part of the Litigation, Arbitration, and Employment (LAE) practice group, providing comprehensive support throughout the litigation process. Responsibilities include:
- Drafting and finalizing legal documents in compliance with state and federal regulations;
- Assisting in the retrieval, organization, and production of case documents;
- Maintaining comprehensive records of pleadings, correspondence, and discovery for high-volume cases;
- Conducting thorough cite-checking and editing of legal materials;
- Managing a database of client advisories and maintaining work product databases;
- Performing legal research and composing concise memoranda summarizing findings;
- Preparing exhibit lists and privilege logs;
- Collaborating with the Advanced Client Data Solutions team for initial case consultations;
- Coordinating with external document and litigation vendors to ensure timely compliance with deadlines;
- Ensuring adherence to security protocols and confidentiality requirements;
- Monitoring project and case statuses, providing regular updates on task completion;
- Training attorneys and staff on litigation support applications;
- Assisting with trial preparations and attending trials as necessary;
- Upholding the confidentiality of client information;
- Participating in the Responsible Business program.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in software such as Relativity, Case Map, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and Microsoft Office Suite;
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities;
- Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities;
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment;
- Excellent client service skills with a collaborative approach;
- Capability to adapt to changing deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively;
- Analytical skills to assess situations and draw informed conclusions.
Education and Experience:
- A minimum of two years of litigation experience in a law firm or similar environment;
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Familiarity with litigation support applications and databases is preferred;
- Experience in electronic discovery processes is a plus;
- A paralegal certificate is desirable.
The core working hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with a one-hour lunch break. Flexibility for occasional overtime may be required.
