Ground Paramedic Specialist

CareFlite is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Ground Paramedic to join our team. As a Ground Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing safe and high-quality advanced emergency care to patients transported by our Ground Division.

• Operate emergency vehicles in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as well as CareFlite policies and procedures.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on assigned vehicles and report any issues or required services.
• Assist flight crew members in loading and unloading patients for helicopter and fixed-wing aircraft transports.
• Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and medical personnel to ensure a positive and safe transport experience.
• Participate in the delivery of non-emergency and emergency patient care in accordance with CareFlite Clinical Practice Guidelines.
• Complete accurate and timely records of patient conditions and services rendered during transport.
• Ensure assigned vehicles are adequately stocked and cleaned according to CareFlite policies and procedures.
• Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities as directed by your supervisor.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current State of Texas certification as an Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification.
• Current PHTLS Certificate or obtained within 6 weeks of hire.
• Current PALS Certificate or obtained within 6 weeks of hire.
• Current Dallas City Ambulance Attendant Driver permit.
• Current Texas Class C driver's license.
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing in English.
• 2 years of experience in Emergency Medical Services preferred.

• Fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
• Occasional exposure to hazardous chemicals, extreme temperatures, and blood-borne pathogens.
• Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment while performing specific tasks or in certain areas.
