Job Title: Electro-Mechanical Mechanic

Job Summary:

Flex-O-Glass Inc, a leading plastics manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Mechanic to join our maintenance team. As an Electro-Mechanical Mechanic, you will be responsible for providing support to electrical and mechanical needs of our plant, working alongside our maintenance team to ensure the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records of work orders and ensure electrical equipment is prepared for operation following protocols and procedures.
  • Perform regular technical testing and troubleshooting of electrical equipment, including voltages of 480, 240, 208, 120, and 110.
  • Execute routine maintenance on electrical equipment, motors, drives, control centers, and replace or repair machine belts, rollers, bearings, or other parts.
  • Remove dust, dirt, grease, and waste materials from machines and read and understand programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
  • Troubleshoot electrical, motor, and mechanical issues, generate plans to make repairs, and install conduit and wiring.
  • Ensure projects, tasks, and PMs are executed on time and complete scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment and facility items.
  • Follow all safety policies, including lock-out/tag-out procedures, and knowledge of OSHA requirements as they pertain to daily activities.
  • Notify the Maintenance Manager of low equipment and supply inventory levels and meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments to repair and maintain equipment.
  • Be available for on-call services during nights or weekends for emergencies and/or lockouts.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of electrical experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and general electric motor knowledge.
  • General computer skills required (Microsoft Office).
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift/move 50lbs.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years of mechanical knowledge.
  • 5 years of electrical knowledge.
