Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Leader to join our team at the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts - High School. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of educators in achieving academic excellence and providing a supportive learning environment for students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage team activities and events, including field trips, parent conferences, and grade-level functions.
  • Request and monitor the use of supplies and materials.
  • Schedule and conduct team meetings.
  • Assist with the development of school schedules and calendars.
  • Coordinate the work of instructional assistants and parent volunteers.
  • Participate in data analysis activities with team members and other school staff.
  • Identify needs related to the acquisition and use of instructional technologies.
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and conducting testing.
  • Serve as a resource to substitute teachers.
  • Function as the team's liaison with other service providers, such as literacy staff, special education resource personnel, and ELL teachers.
  • Perform other leadership duties as assigned by the building administrator.
Qualifications and Attributes
  • Preferred three years of teaching experience.
  • Evidence of significant student achievement results.
  • Experience in team planning, cooperative learning, team teaching, and in a relevant leadership role is desirable.
  • Working knowledge of data analysis principles and of technologies used in instruction and assessment.
  • Ability to work effectively with principals, teachers, parents, and students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements

The ideal candidate should be mission-driven, innovative, highly motivated, and possess excellent data knowledge and communication skills. Must possess appropriate CT certification.
