As a Registered Nurse in our acute inpatient setting, you will provide clinical direction for all aspects of patient care, fostering a patient-centered approach. You will demonstrate clinical competency by utilizing evidence-based practices and research in the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and outcomes. You will consult with clinical advisors and peers as needed and adhere to all compliance and policy/procedures of the organization.
Responsibilities- Collects data and completes nursing assessments using appropriate area and/or age-specific standards/policies and tools.
- Develops an individual plan of care based on the patient's assessed needs and validates these priorities with the healthcare team.
- Provides direct care to assigned patients consistent with the established nursing plan and delegates nursing tasks as appropriate.
- Monitors quality of care delivered on a continual basis and ensures appropriate surveillance of assigned patients.
- Assumes responsibility for patient safety by maintaining a safe environment and adhering to patient care standards.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- One year of experience as a Registered Nurse (or successful completion of the Prisma Health Nurse Residency Program or a comparable residency)
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina
This position requires working in a fast-paced acute inpatient setting, with a significant amount of shift, weekend, holiday, and on-call work.
