Job Title: Utility Worker/Material Handler

Harbour Industries LLC is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Utility Worker/Material Handler to join our production team. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Shelburne, VT.

Job Summary:

The Utility Worker/Material Handler will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support the production process, including scrap collection, trash and recycling, sweeping floors, stripping wire, repairing spools, and wrapping drums. The successful candidate will be a team player with excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Scrap collection, including daily pickups, month-end, gaylord changes, cone scrap, and bleed-off
  • Trash and recycling, including reading the recycle dumpster
  • Sweeping floors and maintaining a clean work environment
  • Stripping wire by hand or with a stripper
  • Repairing spools, including 19" and 24"
  • Wrapping TFE drums and weighing, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
  • Supplying lists of scrap and bleed as needed
  • Putting away accounting records as needed
  • Filling cardboard wrap areas and putting away cardboard wrap as it arrives
  • Miscellaneous painting tasks throughout the year, including walls and yellow poles
  • Assisting maintenance with tasks such as filters on the roof, moving equipment, and putting together items
  • Assisting shipping with wrapping pallets
  • Working with braid as needed
  • Cleaning kegs for barrel pack as needed
  • Adding cleaning jobs as needed
  • Picking up parts and supplies with the truck as needed
  • Keeping the back dock clean and organized
  • Spring cleanup of the outside area around the dumpster and tree line
  • Bi-monthly weed whacking of storm water areas and the dry pond
  • Occasionally stripping ends for quality control
  • Assisting with shoveling walkways as needed
Requirements:

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of experience in a warehouse or production environment. They will also possess excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
