Position Overview:
The Senior Exercise Instructor for Advanced Training Systems plays a crucial role in enhancing the training capabilities of the organization. Reporting directly to the Site Manager, this position encompasses a variety of responsibilities aimed at ensuring effective training delivery and curriculum improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate scheduled training sessions for both Training Devices and Systems Training, utilizing a range of instructional tools such as interactive whiteboards, computers, and multimedia projectors.
- Assess student performance during training missions and document instructor effectiveness according to established standards.
- Review and refine training materials, providing recommendations for program enhancements.
- Maintain and evaluate mission scenarios to ensure they are relevant and effective.
- Deliver classroom instruction and suggest improvements for educational materials, including tests, lesson plans, and trainee guides, in alignment with current directives.
- Provide academic instruction, including lectures and discussions on Crew Resource Management, Instrument Ground School, and self-paced training modules.
- Assist in the inspection and certification of training devices and contribute to special projects as needed.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Site Manager.
Compensation:
The compensation for this role is set at $103.43 per hour, with an additional compensation of over $7 per hour. Various factors are considered in determining the final offer, including market data, internal equity, and the candidate's qualifications.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidates for the Senior Exercise Instructor position will possess the following qualifications:
- Recent experience as an F/A-18 E/F Naval Air Training and Operating Procedures Standardization (NATOPS) qualified Pilot or WSO.
- Preferably a graduate of a Weapon School with operational experience as a Weapon and Tactics Instructor.
- A minimum of one Fleet tour and 800 flying hours in the F/A-18 E/F platform.
- Eligibility for a government security investigation and the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
- U.S. citizenship and a valid driver's license.
- Strong mental acuity and the ability to maintain focus for extended periods.
- Professional demeanor and appearance.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of an Instructor Team.
- Willingness to undergo additional government vetting as required.
