Job Summary:

Northeast Healthcare Recruitment, Inc. (NEHCR) is seeking a Board Certified Interventional Cardiologist to provide locums coverage in a dynamic hospital setting. This opportunity offers a chance to work in a collaborative environment, providing specialized inpatient care and interventional cardiology services.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform a range of interventional cardiology procedures, including balloon angioplasties, coronary angioplasty, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), heart catheterization, and coronary angiograms.
  • Collaborate closely with two other Interventional Cardiologists during locums coverage, ensuring comprehensive and timely patient care.
  • Respond to all cardiology calls for the hospital and provide general cardiology consultations as needed.
  • Document patient care using the Epic EMR system, ensuring accurate and efficient medical record keeping.

Requirements:

  • Board Certification in Interventional Cardiology
  • Active Kentucky State Medical License and DEA certification (willing to consider IMLC if provider has 3-7 days/month availability)
  • Current certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • COVID vaccine required
