Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit (CSICU). As a critical care nurse, you will provide specialized nursing care to critically ill patients recovering from complex cardiac surgeries.
Responsibilities:
* Provide individualized care to patients recovering from cardiac surgeries, including coronary artery bypass grafting, valve replacements, and heart transplants.
* Continuously monitor and assess patients' vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and overall condition.
* Administer and manage critical medications, including vasoactive drips, anticoagulants, and pain management therapies.
* Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for post-surgical recovery and rehabilitation.
* Perform advanced nursing procedures, such as managing mechanical ventilation, intra-aortic balloon pumps, and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation.
* Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families.
Requirements:
* Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
* Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
* Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a critical care or intensive care unit, with specific experience in cardiac or cardiovascular surgery preferred.
* BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications are required; CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse) certification is preferred.
* Strong knowledge of cardiac surgery procedures, post-operative care, and critical care nursing practices.
* Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Compensation:
* $39.00 per hour
