Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Float Pool team at Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, MN.
About the Role:The Registered Nurse in our Float Pool will provide patient-centered care to a diverse range of patients, working in various units such as medical, surgical, cardiac, oncology, orthopedics/spine, and observation. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to gain experience working with a wide variety of patients and be part of our award-winning, caring, and committed staff.
Responsibilities:- Provide patient-centered care following established standards and professional practice guidelines.
- Coordinate care with physicians, care coordinators, patients, and families.
- Delegate responsibilities as appropriate.
- Cross-train to post-op surgical, oncology, and complex medical patients.
- Use Epic for computerized medical records charting.
- Current MN RN licensure by start date.
- BLS for healthcare providers.
- Training in arrhythmia monitoring and basic EKG interpretation.
- Excellent critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Comfortable using computers.
- Ability to work in a team environment and delegate.
- Experience working in a team and delegating.
- 1 year of med-surg experience.
- Work experience in a float pool or floating.
- Familiarity with EPIC.
- BSN or willingness to obtain in the near future.
