We are seeking a highly skilled Orthopedic Registered Nurse to join our team at Springfield Memorial Hospital. As a key member of our medical staff, you will provide exceptional patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to patients with orthopedic conditions, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Perform various medical procedures, including starting IVs, managing PICC lines, and administering medications.
- Document patient information, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes, in a timely and accurate manner.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in orthopedic nursing.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Orthopedic Registered Nurse.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Telemetry experience preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
As an Orthopedic Registered Nurse at Springfield Memorial Hospital, you will work in a 38-bed unit with a team of experienced healthcare professionals. You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of patients, including those with orthopedic conditions, and participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices.
