- Provide support to team members in fulfilling the team’s objectives. Responsible for training, mentoring, and enhancing standard operating procedures while addressing any irregularities.
- Oversee the technical operations of the designated laboratory section.
Assist and collaborate with the Lab Director, Manager, or Supervisor.
Essential Duties:
- Ensure the continuous implementation and maintenance of quality, efficiency, and safety standards in compliance with accreditation requirements (CAP, AABB, TJC, etc).
- Exhibit proactive problem-solving skills, consistently verifying the accuracy of processes, testing methods, and instruments, including reviewing results and clerical errors prior to reporting.
- Delegate tasks within the section and assist in workload assessments as necessary, ensuring timely completion and reporting of assigned work.
- Engage in the development and review of policies and procedures.
- Conduct competency evaluations for the section, ensuring all team members meet accreditation standards.
