POSITION OVERVIEW:

KIPP Texas Public Schools is in search of a dedicated full-time Educational Diagnostician who will play a crucial role in assessing student learning and collaborating with educators and families to develop suitable educational strategies for students with disabilities.

This role is essential in advancing the mission of KIPP Texas Public Schools, ensuring that every student is equipped with the necessary resources and a nurturing environment to thrive academically.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assessment and Data-Driven Decision Making: Employ expertise in data analysis and accountability to support staff in making informed decisions that cater to the needs of students.
Utilize effective assessment and data collection techniques.

Translate evaluation results into actionable intervention strategies, instructional methods, and comprehensive reports, while engaging in discussions with parents and educational staff.

Participate in school-wide assessment initiatives and contribute to data-informed practices across academic, social-emotional, and behavioral aspects.

Actively engage as a member of various school committees and teams, including the Response to Intervention team, and participate in relevant meetings and discussions.

Assist in the creation and delivery of professional development opportunities aimed at enhancing district-wide assessment methodologies.

Support ongoing progress monitoring and data-driven decisions regarding interventions in academic, social-emotional, and behavioral domains.

Conduct thorough special education evaluations to determine eligibility and inform service delivery and programming decisions.

Ensure timely completion of all evaluations.

  • Consultation and Collaboration: Leverage knowledge of best practices to foster effective learning environments through collaboration with educators, families, and community resources.
Engage in meaningful consultations with school personnel, parents, and community organizations to enhance student learning outcomes.

  • Professional Standards: Demonstrate essential competencies expected in any professional setting, including reliability, respect for policies, and adherence to ethical guidelines.
