Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Rug Serging Specialist to join our team at Tarkett. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for serging rugs to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate sewing machines to loop yarn into fringe and stitch it to the edge of rugs.
  • Perform basic adjustments as needed, such as changing thread, needles, and repairing thread breaks on the sewing machine.
  • Ensure color matching of serging yarns to rugs.
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency in performing duties.
  • Collaborate with the rug lead person if the sewing machine breaks down to identify and fix the problem.
  • Maintain good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a close team environment.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Requirements:
  • Prior rug serging/binding experience is preferred.
